The Italian e-Cookbook is now in collaboration with Coop Northwest supermarkets:
the totem is attractive to large-scale organized distribution
If the customers are informed about products, sales increase. Coop Northwest Consumers have tested new sales methods that adapt to the European Communities laws regarding the production and sale of foodstuffs.
The pilot project has dealt with, up until now, only Fontina cheese.
For five weeks customers are attracted from displays that are well-equipped and supplied with the product, to the large plasma screens where a short film demonstrates the history of the products, this being next to the totem where the customer can download recipes containing fontina cheese. These recipes derive from “The Italian e-Cookbook” Data Bank.
